Former AEW Star Signs With IMPACT Wrestling IMPACT

Former AEW star Alan Angels has officially signed with IMPACT Wrestling.

Alan Angels, now simply going by the name ‘Angels’ recently joined the Violent By Design faction in IMPACT alongside members Deaner, Joe Doering, Kon and leader Eric Young.

Angels recently took part in an interview with Paltrocast, where he announced that he was officially signed to the company.

Angels was most well known for his time in AEW, where he performed under a mask as number 5 (or V) of the Dark Order faction.

The following was posted to the Paltrocast website alongside the interview:

Since its inception in 2002, IMPACT has established itself as one of the largest professional wrestling organizations in the world and the premier destination for wrestling fans across the globe, enlisting legendary performers such as Ric Flair, Sting, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and AJ Styles — and many more — throughout its storied legacy.

IMPACT’s current roster showcases a selection of world-class athletes led by World Champion Josh Alexander, World Tag Team Champions Rhino and Heath, Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Death Dollz (Jessicka, Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie), and Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry. Other IMPACT stars include “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Moose, Sami Callihan, Matt Cardona, Eric Young, PCO and Trey Miguel, while its Knockouts Division has Gisele Shaw, Mickie James, Deonna Purrazzo, Masha Slamovich and Su Yung.

Angels is the latest high-profile signing for IMPACT Wrestling. A prominent member of AEW’s Dark Order stable before moving over to IMPACT, Angels began training with AR Fox shortly after graduating from high school.

Having held championship gold in Southern Honor Wrestling and World Wrestling Alliance 4, Angels is now part of the unhinged and highly-feared faction known as Violent By Design alongside Eric Young, Deaner, Big Kon and Joe Doering. He is to be expected wrestling as part of IMPACT’s upcoming events in Pembroke Pines, Florida (December 9 and 10th’s Winter Warfare television tapings) and Atlanta, Georgia (January 13’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view).

On November 23, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Angels himself via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond his signing with IMPACT, we talked about his hobbies and life outside of wrestling, including his intentions to start up a non-wrestling podcast in the near-future.
