Earlier this week, AEW President Tony Khan appeared on Busted Open Radio to possibly tease the return of several AEW stars, and possibly even some new signings for All Out this weekend (September 4).
One of the matches on the card is the Casino Ladder Match, and as usual there is a lot of speculation over who the “Joker” might be.
Many believe it will be a returning MJF, while Dave Meltzer has put forward another name in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
According to Meltzer, Adam Cole is expected to be able to wrestle again by the time All Out comes around, so there’s every chance he enters the match as the Joker.
He said:
Adam Cole is expected to be healed up and ready so perhaps it’s him.
Cole has been out for several months after suffering a torn labrum, and hasn’t wrestled a match since June 26, so it would be a huge moment should he return to the ring.
He is of course the leader of the Undisputed Elite, which lost a member in the form of Bobby Fish yesterday, after it was revealed Fish’s contract with AEW had not been renewed.
We’ll have full coverage of Sunday’s All Out show from Chicago.
