They say that in order to succeed, you need to believe in yourself. Based on of his Twitter game, it’s safe to say that Tommaso Ciampa doesn’t only subscribe to that philosophy, he may not think it goes far enough.
The man who once termed himself “Tommy Entertainment” was set to take on his latest challenger, Otis Dozovic, on NXT programming this past Wednesday However, in advance of the bruising encounter, the NXT Champion had a message for his opponent.

Those words turned out to be prophetic, as the two put on an excellent contest.
The match went exactly as expected, with the challenger attempting to steamroll – or should that be ‘bull-dozovic’? – the champion, forcing Ciampa to rely on a more opportunistic, ‘stick and move’ form of offence.
The action eventually came to an end after the ‘Sicilian Psychopath’ caught his opponent with a draping DDT onto the apron, then followed that up with another draping DDT as Dozovic attempted to clamber back into the ring.
Clearly one to always review the tape to find areas to improve, the NXT Champion shared his evaluation of his performance after the match on Twitter.

Ciampa may soon get another chance to prove that claim, as Aleister Black could have his sights set on the title when he eventually returns from injury, and perennial nemesis Johnny Gargano remains lurking in the wings.
