WWE had advertised a first-time in WWE dream match for last week’s (September 22) episode of WWE SmackDown, which saw WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY defend her championship against Asuka.
The match took place at the top of the hour on the show, with the two women competing in a near 20 minute match that spanned three segments on the show.
In the end, IYO ended up retaining the championship, pinning Asuka with a Moonsault after she was distracted by Bayley and Charlotte Flair at ringside.
