There has been an update on Jay White’s current status with New Japan Pro Wrestling following the recent news of his departure.
White lost two matches recently, the first to Hikuleo in a Loser Leaves Japan at New Beginning in Osaka last month, and later to Eddie Kingston in a Loser Leaves NJPW match at Battle in the Valley.
Following White’s loss, rumours have ramped up that the Switchblade could be headed to WWE, and we may end up getting our answer rather soon.
Per Voices of Wrestling’s Super J-Cast, White’s NJPW deal has now expired, and he is set to depart the company.
On top of that, NJPW posted a tweet earlier today, claiming that today would be the last day that Jay White merchandise would be available on Tokon Shop before it’s ‘gone for good’.
There has been a lot of speculation about White heading to WWE, with some believing we may see the Switchblade on the Raw after WrestleMania next month in Los Angeles.
Per sources, Jay White’s contract with NJPW has expired and he is set to leave the company.
