Jeff Jarrett Thinks Top AEW Star Could Open Their Own Company AEW

Jeff Jarrett thinks a top AEW star could open their own company.

In November 2022, Jeff Jarrett signed with All Elite Wrestling and brought nearly four decades of experience to the company as an on-screen talent and the Director of Business Development.

Jarrett is an important figure in wrestling history for his place in helping launch TNA, also now known as IMPACT Wrestling. This makes him one of the few people in the company who has a good eye on the best minds in the business.

Speaking on My World with Jeff Jarrett, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he could think of anyone who has a mind for the business. Jarrett said:

“I think experience…at 35 years of age, I had a cumulative…I was blessed in a lot of ways. End of the territories, from 10, 11, 12 years old, whether it’s Lawler, Dundee, whoever the wrestlers, whatever it may be.”

“I think you gotta have kind of a vision for it, but most of all, you gotta have a passion. Who would really want to do this?”

“I think you gotta have a loose screw or two. But that really thinks through things and wants to do it…MJF. I’m literally trying to think.”

When Jarrett asked co-host Conrad Thompson whether he needed to name a young wrestler, Jarrett explained:

“You gotta want to do this, and you gotta kind of eat, breathe, sleep it, have a vision for creating the content.”

“Sonjay’s got a well-rounded skill set. He’a actually been in the ring, and I’m not saying that’s the end all, be all, but an understanding of TV, an understanding of ring work, an understanding of producing.”

“Kind of on the business side, you don’t really learn that until you dive in head-first and have some guidance. I don’t know, man. That’s a good question.”

As previously reported, MJF revealed a top WWE star as one of the wrestlers he wanted to face while training.

Jeff Jarrett last wrestled in a tag team loss with Matt Hardy to Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara in the Blind Eliminator Tournament on the July 7 edition of AEW Rampage.
