It has emerged that the announcement of John Cena being at last night’s WWE house show in Estero, Florida boosted ticket sales in a big way.
As per F4WOnline, there was a whopping 63% increase in ticket sales for the show after Cena had been announced.
Since his return, Cena announcements have led to anywhere between 18%-63% increases, with Louisville, Milwaukee, Detroit and Estero all seeing an increase more than 50%.
John Cena has been working six-man tag matches at house shows, teaming with Dominik and Rey Mysterio against Roman Reigns and the Usos.
At SummerSlam, the Mysterios challenge the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, while John Cena challenges Reigns for the Universal Title.
The same six-man tag match has been happening at SmackDown tapings after the show goes off the air. At the July 26 Raw, Cena teamed with Riddle against MACE and T-BAR.
