John Cena Confirms Date Of Next WWE Match

WWE announced today that 16-time World Champion John Cena will make his return to WWE television on the September 1 episode of SmackDown in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Not only will Cena appear on SmackDown, but he is also scheduled to be at the WWE Superstar Spectacle in India the following week.

It had only been announced that he would be appearing at both shows, but we now know that he will indeed be wrestling in India on September 8.

Responding to the tweet announcing his return, Cena said that he looks forward to wrestling for the first time ever in India on the show.

He said:

Cannot wait to reunite with the @WWE family live on #Smackdown ! Especially excited to meet the #WWE Universe in India and wrestle for the FIRST TIME EVER in [India]!

The time is NOW…. C U all VERY soon!!! @WWE @WWEIndia

Cena’s last match took place at WrestleMania 39, where he was defeated by Austin Theory in the opening bout.

Cena last appeared on WWE television at Money In The Bank, where he made a surprise appearance in London, taking part in a segment with Grayson Waller.
