John Cena Heaps Praise On ‘Creative’ Bray Wyatt

John Cena Heaps Praise On ‘Creative’ Bray Wyatt WWE

John Cena and Bray Wyatt took part in a memorable rivalry back in 2014, with the two men facing off at WrestleMania XXX, the first of their three match series.

Cena and Wyatt would reignite their rivalry in 2020, when they took part in the memorable Firefly Funhouse match, a deep dive into the creative minds of both men.

Cena recently sat down on the WWE YouTube channel, where he reviewed his legendary matches and rivalries in the company.

Speaking about his matches with Bray, he said:

“I really enjoyed performing with Bray. We were cut from the same cloth in that regard. Both storytellers and both wanting to do bizarre things, and I think we, him and I, have always tried to do different things, and we’ve embraced each other’s creativity.

“Using the child at the door of the cage, the Firefly Funhouse match, those are ideas that come from a unique individual. I always loved Windham’s creativity. He never strictly leaned on the physicality of anything. He was always about the art and the story,”

Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) unexpectedly passed away at the age of 36 back on August 24.

WWE has added the following note to the item descriptions for Wyatt merch on the WWE Shop website:

In the wake of Bray Wyatt’s death, WWE will donate all net proceeds to support JoJo Offerman and his children.

On Thursday, August 24, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported:

I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues.

There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Our thoughts and condolences continue to be with the family, friends, and everyone affected by the passing of Windham Rotunda.
