John Cena Responds To AEW Star’s Recent Comments

16-time WWE world champion John Cena has responded to comments recently made by a top AEW star.

On a recent Twitch stream, former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega had glowing words for WWE’s ‘Greatest of All-Time’ John Cena, despite never meeting him in person.

Noting his “incredible” contributions to the wrestling business, as well as outside the ring with his record-breaking work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Omega said Cena is everything a “face of a company” or the “industry” as a whole should be.

Following Omega’s comments it seems as if Cena has now tipped his own cap to The Cleaner, by posting an image of the AEW star to his Instagram account.

Omega is not the only AEW star that Cena has acknowledged recently, with Cena meeting MJF at the premiere of The Iron Claw gathering a great deal of buzz online.

When discussing the meeting with MJF in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Cena admitted that he hoped MJF would make his way to WWE eventually.

Both MJF and Omega are currently off AEW TV, with MJF reportedly dealing with several injuries and Omega out indefinitely following his Diverticulitis diagnosis in December 2023.

Cena on the other hand has not been seen on WWE TV since Crown Jewel 2023 in November, with his status for WrestleMania 40 on April 6 & 7 still uncertain.
