Jonathan Gresham Reveals When He Found Out About Tony Khan Buying ROH (Exclusive)

In an exclusive interview with Sanchez Taylor for WrestleTalk.com after PROGRESS Chapter 130, Jonathan Gresham revealed when he found out about Tony Khan buying Ring of Honor.

The AEW President announced that he’s now the owner of ROH on the March 2 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Gresham has revealed that he only found out about the change in ownership after Khan announced it on live TV, noting:

“I found out about Tony Khan buying Ring of Honor with the rest of the world. I was in a hotel room in Ireland and I got a phone call from a colleague that told me what was going on online. Because I kinda stay off social media for long periods of time, so it was told to me by a colleague and I was just as shocked as everybody else.”

When asked whether he’s uncertain about his future with ROH, Gresham said:

“I’m still wrestling around the world, defending the Ring of Honor World Championship, as you can see from tonight, winning other championships from around the world. For me right now, that is my goal – to prove not only to myself but the rest of the world that I am what I say I am, and that is the best wrestler in the world. So whatever happens with Ring of Honor, I still stand as the original Ring of Honor World Champion, period.”

Gresham currently holds the ROH Original World Championship, defeating Jay Lethal to win the gold at Final Battle 2021. Gresham is set to face off against ROH World Champion Bandido at Supercard of Honor on April 1 to determine the Undisputed ROH World Champion.
