A rising WWE star has teased an impending confrontation with the Judgment Day as the group prepares to invade this week’s edition of NXT (July 11).
On last Tuesday’s show, Trick Williams and NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes called out the WWE Raw faction, teasing that Damian Priest could cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the NXT Title.
Although Judgment Day look set to clash with Hayes and Williams, perhaps there may be some extra support to even the odds in the form of Ivy Nile.
Responding to a WWE tweet asking:
Hey #WWENXT, are you ready for The Judgment Day tomorrow night!?
Nile replied:
Ready
Nile is set to be operating alone in NXT for the first time following The Creed Brothers’ (Julius & Brutus) loss to the Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) in their ‘loser leaves NXT’ match.
Given Rhea Ripley’s presence, Nile’s fighting spirit would undoubtedly be appreciated by Hayes and Williams.
The influx of main roster talent to NXT has been a clear strategy for WWE in recent months, with Nick Khan stating as such in a June interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The move has paid off in increased viewership on Tuesday nights, most impressively on the June 20 NXT where Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker.
As well as this, other more fringe WWE talents such as Dana Brooke, Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali seem to be making themselves at home on the gold brand.
Ali in particular is set for a major title match at the upcoming Great American Bash Premium Live Event on July 30, to find out more on this announcement click here.
