Update On Uncertainty Over Two WWE Stars’ Futures

Update On Uncertainty Over Two WWE Stars’ Futures WWE

A WWE NXT main roster call-up that looked to be nailed on to be happening may not be taking place after all if a new report is to be believed.

After losing their ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match to the Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) on this Tuesday’s broadcast (July 4) the Creed Brothers looked to be main roster bound, or at least that’s perhaps what WWE want us all to believe anyway.

According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some sources within WWE have instead suggested their NXT departure is little more than an angle and they will remain on Tuesday nights, while others have said WWE hasn’t even made a decision yet.

Meltzer writes:

Regarding The Creeds, if you watch NXT TV, the conclusion you would come to is they are headed to the main roster, but without Ivy Nile, after losing the loser leaves town match.

I would figure that’s the case but one person very close to the situation was outright told that it’s an angle and they will be back.

This could be real or it could be those in charge at NXT telling people a story because of the idea they want to keep it a secret, but I’m not sure why you’d bother with the loser leaves town match already taking place.

Another person who would be in a situation where they should know said that the final decision hasn’t been made.

While we saw numerous NXT to main roster call-ups in this years draft, there have not been any made since.

Instead we have seen many top NXT stars such as Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker making cameo appearances on main roster programming rather than fully-fledged call-ups.

This has of course also gone the other way as the main roster presence on Tuesday’s seems to be growing week after week, with ‘free agents’ in WWE such as Mustafa Ali and Dana Brooke receiving pushes on the gold brand.

One of these stars who has begun a career resurgence as of late is Baron Corbin, a week after bringing back his popular ‘Lone Wolf’ gimmick he now looks potentially set for another reinvention on NXT.
