WWE Star Advertised For Upcoming NJPW Show WWE/NJPW

More released WWE stars made their return to WWE following the change in regime on last night’s episode of WWE Raw, when the Good Brothers Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson returned to WWE after over two years away, aiding AJ Styles against Finn Balor and the Judgment Day.

The return came as a surprise to many, as Anderson is still the NEVER Openweight Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and despite making his return to WWE, it looks like Karl Anderson could still be appearing elsewhere.

The “Machine Gun” is still set to appear at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Battle Autumn in Osaka event on November 5, to defend his NEVER Openweight title against Hikuleo.

Anderson did not relinquish the NEVER Openweight title when he joined WWE in an unusual move for a company that tends to keep its titles in-house.

According to the NJPW website:

“Also already announced for November 5, Karl Anderson will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship gold against Hikuleo.

“The Machine Gun will go wherever the bright lights will lead him, and that certainly rings true when it comes to November’s big Osaka event.

“Might it also be true of Wrestle Kingdom and a NEVER Championship defence on the grandest stage? Or will Hikuleo seize the moment and his first career championship?”

If Anderson does wrestle at the event, it could signal a significant policy change for WWE, which has a reputation for being very insular with its wrestlers and not allowing them to appear in other promotions.
