Karrion Kross has discussed his future in WWE, revealing that he doesn’t want to make NXT his permanent home.
Karrion Kross hasn’t lost a singles match since arriving on NXT. The two-time NXT Champion has confirmed that he eventually wants to pursue accolades outside of The Gold Brand.
During the June 12 NXT TakeOver: In Your House global press conference, Kross had a simple message for the four men he faces on Sunday.
Noting that he never plans to drop the NXT title, Kross said:
“I’m not a very big fan of undermining people’s intelligence. I don’t think that’s really something anyone in this business should put on themselves. I think the WWE Universe (and) NXT fans should decide who the greatest will be, in due time. But I will tell you this, I don’t plan on ever losing this title. That’s number one.
“Number two; I don’t plan on staying in NXT forever. Number three; find out on Sunday. These guys are showing up. I’m showing up. I’m planning to beat the s**t out of all four of them. I’m leaving with this, that’s my game plan. Why? Because it’s personal.”
Kross won the NXT Championship from Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Tomorrow night, Kross defends his gold against Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne.
Over 300 fans will reportedly be in attendance for NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
