Kurt Angle WWE Contract Status Update

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has provided an update on his status in the company after being absent from TV for almost a year.

The multi-time former world champion has made sporadic appearances in recent years in WWE, however 2023 saw him only appear once; for the special 30th anniversary show for Monday Night Raw on January 23.

The lack of Angle on all our TV screens has naturally led to questions from fans regarding his current status in the company.

This was unsurprisingly a topic posed to Olympic gold medalist during a recent Q&A session at Steel City Con (via Fandom Spotlite).

When asked if he would make a return to the company Angle would confirm that he is still under contract, and is simply awaiting them using him at some point in the future; potentially for one of the big upcoming Premium Live Events in 2024.

Angle said:

So I do certain events with them (WWE). So, I’m still signed with them.

I have a contract with WWE so, I’m sure they’re gonna possibly use me for something at WrestleMania or Royal Rumble or something so, they always come up with something so, I eventually do something crazy with WWE and I’m sure I will in the future.

In his time away from WWE Angle has become somewhat of a viral sensation, with a popular meme featuring the Hall of Famer’s face being shared across social media.
