WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has reacted to becoming the subject of a meme in a recent viral trend.
Originating from Angle’s introductory video to his new TikTok account, the end of which saw the Olympic Gold Medalist stare blankly at the camera in an awkward but comedic manner.
Unexpectedly, the footage of Angle’s long stare has been re-purposed and used for countless videos on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Angle recently addressed this tidal wave of attention on The Kurt Angle Show podcast and how he feels about his face being used for laughs across the internet.
Angle said:
“I don’t know why like, I know that that video you know, it’s kind of a weird-looking face, but for some strange reason everybody caught on and wanted to throw out some memes and I was the butt of the joke, I guess.”
Hilariously, Angle has decided to adopt a new moniker of the ‘Meme Machine’ and try cash-in by selling merchandise featuring the expression on his website; which can be found at this link here.
