Liv Morgan Wins WWE Women’s World Championship At WrestleMania 42 WWE

Liv Morgan is officially a two-time WWE Women’s World Champion, winning the title from Stephanie Vaquer tonight at WrestleMania 42.

She had help from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne in the process, and Dominik Mysterio came out to celebrate with them afterwards as well.

On another note, Morgan made her entrance to her new self-performed song Trouble that released this past week.

Vaquer had reigned as champion since September when she defeated IYO SKY to win the title at Wrestlepalooza after it had been vacated by Naomi due to her pregnancy.

Morgan was previously Women’s World Champion from May 2024 to January 2025.

Liv Morgan Now A Bonafide Major WWE Star

For a number of years, Liv Morgan was banging on the door of becoming a true top WWE star in the women’s division and the company as a whole, but just never quite got there.

Even in previous championship reigns, it felt like there was something missing that was stopping her from breaking through that ceiling where the likes of Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley reside.

However, in the past couple of years – especially since the start of 2025 with the WWE Raw Netflix premiere – her stock has risen as far as being a recognizable star not just in wrestling but outside of the confines of WWE as well.

Her upcoming Hollywood movie role in Bad Lieutenant Tokyo will only add to that, and if she put in a good performance, she’s likely to have more opportunities open up in the future as well.

Triple H said before the match against Vaquer: “Liv Morgan is trying to prove that she belongs at the, ‘I’m a great in-ring performer’ level, not just eye candy level.'”

Evidently, Triple H has faith in Morgan that she is indeed at that level.
