WWE Raw Live Results – November 19, 2018

04:04am

Instead of explaining why he turned on Seth Rollins, Ambrose basically just says that something smells bad, and he can’t work out what it is.

It was a bit naff, but Seth Rollins soon charged to the ring and a brawl broke out between the two.

They battled around ringside, but it was Dean standing tall as the show went off the air, after he hit Seth with a low blow, followed by two Dirty Deeds.

And that wraps up a pretty naff episode of Raw. It was all a bit tedious, that. Not an enjoyable watch at all.

03:53am

With Seth having already left the arena, Dean Ambrose is headed for the ring!

03:50am

Michael Cole announces that by virtue of the attack earlier tonight, Braun Strowman is suffering from a shattered elbow.

03:48am

Despite attempted interference from the Riott Squad, Natalya picks up the win with a roll-up to gain a slight measure of retribution on Ruby Riott.

03:38am

Seth Rollins has given up on his search for the elusive Dean Ambrose, and is now going home, happy that he will get his hands on his former Shield brother at TLC.

It’s now time for the main event, as Natalya takes on Ruby Riott.

03:30am

Chad Gable and Bobby Roode just beat AOP with a roll-up.

The crowd chanted “A-O-Pee-Pee.”

I am losing the will to live.

03:16am

Rousey wins in about two minutes with the Armbar, and is confronted on top of the stage by Nia Jax and Tamina, but then they just walk away.

MANIACS!

03:12am

Ronda’s opponent is…

Six-time Women’s Champion, Mickie James. This match is for the Raw Women’s Title.

03:07am

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey makes her way to the ring, and confirms that she will defend her title against Nia Jax at TLC.

She then reels of some lines about being a fighting champion, before revealing bruises and welts all over her body from last night.

And then she issues an open challenge, which is answered by Baron Corbin!

Oddly enough, he doesn’t want to face Ronda, and instead denies and prevents Rousey from defending the title. But after a bit of shouting from the “baddest bitch on the planet,” Corbin is off to find someone.

Given how this show has gone so far, don’t be surprised if it is Dana Brooke.

02:55am

This angle is pissing me off.

DO YOU GET IT YET?!??!?!??!?!

*sigh*

02:48am

Lucha House Party win because it was a 3-on-2 Handicap match and they were throwing a pinata around.

02:46am

It’s Lucha House Party vs. The Revival, under Lucha House Party rules… which literally just means it’s a 3-on-2 handicap match.

Fine then.

02:40am

All the tag teams are taking the piss out of Drake Maverick.

Do you get it?!?!?!

PISS?!?!?!

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Hate the wrestling, me.

02:39am

Surprise! Dean, you little rascal.

02:32am

In what ended up being a decent match, Jax picks up the win for her team with a Samoan Drop to Bayley.

Charly Caruso is backstage, but is cut off by Dean Ambrose via a conveniently connected TV screen, who tells Charly to find Seth and tell him to meet Dean at “the place the Shield used to call home.”

02:21am

It’s time for women’s division action, as Sasha Banks and Bayley take on Tamina and Nia Jax, who, as you almost certainly guessed, was booed very, very, very heavily.

Michael Cole: “Let’s call her the #FaceBreaker!”

Nah pal, let’s not do that. Cheers.

02:11am

Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins cuts a rather emotional promo about his TLC opponent Dean Ambrose, and says that the recent Dean Ambrose Chronicle documentary on the WWE Network taught him more about Ambrose than he actually ever revealed in person.

The ‘Kingslayer’ gets fired up and calls out Dean yet again, and guess what, Ambrose pops up on the titantron. The ‘Lunatic’ essentailly says that the Shield were an awful group of people, and will pay for their actions, as Roman is already doing…

This pushes Seth to the limit, and he storms backstage in search of Ambrose, and batters a couple of security personnel.

01:55am

Braun looks to have Corbin pinned off a Powerslam, but McIntyre breaks up the pin attempt with a chair, getting himself DQ’ed in the process.

The match is thrown out, as Drew and Lashley continue the beatdown at ringside, much to the joy of Braun’s TLC opponent Baron Corbin.

The ‘Monster Among Men’ tries to fight back, but is downed by another Claymore, and the assault continues. Strowman’s arm is left bloody after he cut it on the steel ring steps, and Corbin does the following:

01:44am

Despite putting up a really good fight, Elias is eliminated via countout after he got caught up chasing Lio Rush, leaving Strowman on his lonesome against Corbin, McIntyre and Lashley.

01:35am

The opening minutes of the match are made up of the heels dominating Bálor because HE’S REALLY, REALLY SMALL DID YOU KNOW?!

The Irishman eventually makes the tag to Elias who enters hot, and allows the babyfaces to regain momentum as Bálor lands a Tope Conhilo to take out his opponents.

It’s not long before the tables are turned again though, and McIntyre puts Bálor away with a Claymore.

Apparently this is an elimination match, which I’m pretty sure they never actually mentioned, so we’re left with McIntyre, Lashley and Corbin vs. Strowman and Elias.

01:12am

Steph announces that at TLC, Strowman and Corbin will go head-to-head.

If Corbin wins, he becomes permanent Raw GM, but if he loses, all authority is washed away. And, because Strowman gets to pick the stipulation, he chose a TLC match. How very creative of him!

McMahon adds that Strowman’s Universal Championship rematch against Brock Lesnar will take place at the Royal Rumble in January, so long as Braun can beat Corbin at TLC.

Corbin then puts Strowman in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. But Steph McMahon overpowers him, and turns it into a 6-man tag match. Lashley, McIntyre and Corbin vs. Strowman, Elias and Finn Bálor.

And that match is RIGHT NOW!

01:06am

We open the show with Acting Raw GM Baron Corbin in the ring, celebrating the red brand’s emphatic 6-0 deficit last night, and the ‘Lone Wolf’ welcomes the “titan,” the “visionary,” Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon.

Baron Corbin reminds Steph that she said she’d consider making Corbin permanent Raw GM if they won Survivor Series, but she also said some other things, that involved Braun Strowman getting his hands on Corbin. And speaking of the ‘Monster Among Men,’ he’s marching to the ring right now!

Well Survivor Series was a thing-and-a-half wasn’t it?!

Whether it was a good thing-and-a-half or not would be a rather long debate I feel, but one thing is for certain, WWE cemented Raw as the dominant brand, as they came out 6-0 on the night… because pre-shows and tag teams mean absolutely nothing apparently.

Other than the 10 vs. 10 ghost match, every single Raw vs. SmackDown bout was won by the red brand, which I’m sure will make Fox really, really happy.

Nonetheless, I don’t expect a whole lot to be made of the whole brand supremacy thing tonight, because let’s be honest, it doesn’t really mean anything. Perhaps it will be a different story over on SmackDown Live, but I believe Raw will very much be looking forward from tonight onward.

“Looking forward to where?” I hear you ask. Well, TLC of course! After all, who doesn’t love forced gimmick matches because it happens to be that particular time of the year?

One match has already been confirmed for the final pay-per-view of the year, that being Seth Rollins defending his Intercontinental Title against Dean Ambrose. Although Ambrose didn’t get involved in Seth’s match last night, expect the build to start ramping up very soon indeed.

Remember last week on Raw when Steph McMahon told Braun Strowman that if he could coexist with his team and win Survivor Series he’d get a match with Baron Corbin, and a Universal Title rematch against Brock Lesnar? I certainly do! Will we see the ‘Monster Among Men’ get his hands on the Acting GM tonight?

Switching focus to the women’s division now, and Nia Jax was the ‘Sole Survivor’ in the women’s 5 vs. 5 match, and is still owed a Raw Women’s Title match against Ronda Rousey via her Battle Royal win at Evolution.Speaking of Rousey, she got absolutely decimated by Charlotte Flair last night. The ‘Queen’ ambushed Ronda with a kendo stick during their match, getting DQ’ed in the process, and then continued the assault with a steel chair after the fact. This was a heel turn, that the crowd relentlessly cheered for, because of course it was.

Rousey has confirmed she’ll be at the show tonight, so it will be interesting to see how things play out. Imagine the absolute scenes if Nia beats her for the title because she is ‘weakened’ from Charlotte’s assault last night. IMAGINE.
