Major Championship Changes Hands At MLW Fightland

**The following article contains spoilers for the MLW Fightland tapings, set to air on October 7**

MLW taped their MLW Fightland show last night (October 2) from Philadelphia, PA. The show was headlined by a title vs title match between MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu and MLW National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone.

Hammerstone was victorious in the Battle Riot two months ago, which earned him the opportunity to face Fatu for the championship.

In the main event, Hammerstone defeated Fatu to become the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion. This puts an end to Fatu’s 816 day reign with the championship.

• Title vs. Title Match: Alexander Hammerstone defeated Jacob Fatu to become the MLW Champion and National Openweight Champion
