Speaking in a new interview ahead of Sunday’s TakeOver: WarGames show, Triple H has provided an update on a major NXT star who’s been out injured.
Karrion Kross won the NXT Championship from Keith Lee at TakeOver 30 on August 22, but separated his shoulder in that very match and had to relinquish the title a couple of days later.
Since then, he’s been off TV, but speaking with FOX Sports about when he’ll be back, Triple H said:
“To quote him, tick tock. Any second.”
The incredibly unfortunate timing of Kross’ injury was followed by another at TakeOver 31 on October 4, where new NXT Champion Finn Balor broke his jaw against Kyle O’Reilly. Balor hasn’t wrestled since but has made a couple of TV appearances, and unlike Kross has kept the title.
Considering Kross’ title win was only his seventh match, you have to imagine that management will be looking to position him right at the top of the card once again upon his return.
