Major Rhea Ripley WWE Plans Leaked

Major Rhea Ripley WWE Plans Leaked WWE

It appears that even five months out, we may have an idea of major plans set for Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber 2024 on February 24.

The show will take place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, making it WWE’s first big event in Australia since Super Show-Down in 2018.

WWE has a number of Aussie wrestlers on its roster, but none bigger than Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

Ripley was interviewed for Australian outlet 7NEWS Adelaide, who specifically said the following about Ripley:

“A South Aussie wrestler will headline the WWE’s first main event in Australia since 2018 in front of 60,000 fans in Perth.”

On the surface from that comment, it sounds like Ripley is set to be in the main event match at Elimination Chamber.

However, it’s worth noting that we probably shouldn’t take this as absolute confirmation just yet, as this may just be an instance of a non-wrestling outlet loosely using wrestling terminology without being 100% up on it, which you’ll realize if you watch the clip below.

Having said that, there’s every chance that Ripley does end up main eventing Elimination Chamber in her home country, because quite frankly, why wouldn’t she?

Ripley’s next big match is a title defense at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4, where she’ll defend in a five-way against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez and Zoey Stark.

You can watch the clip below, including some comments from Ripley herself about returning to Australia for such a big event:
