Major Star Turns Heel On WWE NXT

This was a pretty eventful night on NXT this week. In addition to new matches being added to NXT Takeover WarGames, there was also a major heel turn. Toni Storm turned on her partner from last week, Ember Moon, and joining Candice LeRae.

Moon had just been defeated by LeRae in a singles match with the help of Indi Hartwell, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. When Moon nearly had the match won, Hartwell saved LeRae from being hit with the Eclipse.

After the match, Toni Storm came out to even the odds slightly. However, Storm instead attacked Moon and fed her to the wolves. After a commercial break, LeRae revealed that her partners for WarGames would be Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez and Toni Storm.

Later in the show, these four interrupted Rhea Ripley’s promo and attacked her. They also brought out the unconscious body of Io Shirai. It seems very likely Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai will join Shotzi Blackheart’s WarGames team.

Storm returned to NXT at NXT TakeOver 31 and hasn’t done much of late. Hopefully this heel turn will give her the opportunity to get more of the spotlight going forward.
