Major WWE Return Scrapped?

One of the biggest things announced for the first SmackDown was the return of Seth Rollins. The Messiah had been off television as he was spending time with Becky Lynch and their newborn daughter Roux.

However, it appears that this return may not be happening this Friday after all. While the return had been confirmed by WWE last week, Rollins’ return is now absent from WWE’s official preview of SmackDown.

Roman Reigns making a request of WWE management, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair vs. Bayley and Carmella, and Big E vs. King Corbin are currently the only things listed for tomorrow’s SmackDown.

Of course, Seth Rollins could still very easily return on tomorrow’s show, however it is curious that he was once advertised and now is not.

Rollins has not appeared on WWE programming since Survivor Series. At the event, he competed in the traditional Survivor Series match but allowed himself to be pinned “for the greater good”. His team would go on to get swept by Team Raw five-to-nothing.

Rollins had also been involved in a rivalry with Rey Mysterio for the majority of 2020. With a potential return ahead of him, he will have the chance to begin a new rivalry with someone new.
