A major WWE star suffered an injury on last week’s show, and may potentially be set to vacate their championship.
WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has reigned as champion for over a year, winning the title from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 last year.
Rhea retained the title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 last weekend, with her getting involved in a backstage altercation with Liv Morgan on last week’s show.
In an update from PWInsider, Rhea suffered an injury during last week’s brawl with Morgan.
Rhea’s injury is said to be severe enough that there has been talk internally that Rhea may be forced to vacate her championship, potentially as soon as tonight’s Raw show in Montreal.
We will provide any updates on Ripley’s status as they become available.
We wish Rhea a full and complete recovery from her injury.
