Match Confirmed For Next Week’s WWE SmackDown

The opening SmackDown match of the decade last night saw Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke team up to defeat Sasha Banks & Bayley and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross.

This comes after Lacey Evans has been feuding with Sasha Banks and Bayley for the last few weeks on WWE TV, where Banks has targetted Evans’ young daughter.

It seems like the issues between Evans and Banks are unresolved as WWE confirmed during last night’s show that the duo will go one-on-one next week.

While this was not confirmed, it seems likely that should Evans win, she would earn a shot at Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship. The match has been rumoured for the Royal Rumble.

In something I never thought I’d say, I am actually really enjoying the work that Evans is doing as a babyface. Although she previously seemed better suited to being a heel, the crowd seems to be connecting with her more this way.
