TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy has revealed that he and Jeff Hardy initially rejected an entrance theme which he would ultimately use in WWE as a singles star.

While it wasn’t made specifically for them and is copyright-free and licensable, the song “Loaded” is closely associated with the Hardy Boyz, who have entered to it in WWE, TNA, AEW and many other companies.

Speaking on the Ropes N Riffs podcast, Matt Hardy revealed that he and Jeff Hardy turned down changing their entrance music to Live For The Moment, even though Monster Magnet created the song specifically for Matt and Jeff.

Commenting on the Hardy Boyz decision to not use the song which would ultimately become his own entrance theme, Matt Hardy said:

“In early 2002, they had made a song specifically for us, and Monster Magnet did it, which was Live For The Moment.

“They said ‘Hey, we wrote this specifically for the Hardy Boyz. You guys are big stars now. This is specifically for you, it’s from a pretty notable band, Monster Magnet. We would love for you to start using it.’

“Jeff and I both listened to it and we were like ‘It’s okay, but we’re going to say no thanks for right now because we really like Loaded. It’s associated with us and as soon as that hits, the crowd explodes, and it really kind of sets the pace for what we’re going to do.’

“We didn’t want to use that, but later, as you know, I turned that around when I turned and became a bad guy in pro-wrestling as a heel. That became my song, Live For The Moment.

“I couldn’t imagine ‘Matt Hardy Version 1’ having any other entrance music, other than ‘I can slap a tornado.'”

WWE main roster fans will hear Loaded again in the future if the Hardy Boyz have their way, with Matt Hardy stating on a number of occasions that he and Jeff hope to do “something proper” again in WWE before their eventual retirements.

With the likes of Raw star Bayley pushing to appear for TNA Wrestling, it would be interesting to see the main roster more involved with the ongoing TNA crossover, sending Bayley for an appearance in exchange for the Hardy Boyz, for example.

Matt and Jeff Hardy notably appeared at the WWE World convention ahead of WrestleMania 42 in April.
