Roman Reigns Segment & More Confirmed For WWE Raw May 18

A new match and segment have been announced for Monday’s May 18 edition of WWE Raw, on the road to Saturday Night’s Main Event and Clash In Italy.

Monday’s show will emanate from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, and will be the final episode of Raw before Saturday Night’s Main Event in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has announced some additions to Monday’s card in his latest mini-preview video, confirming that World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will be on the show.

Reigns is scheduled to speak on Raw, following Jacob Fatu attacking him on last week’s episode.

Pearce also announced a new match, with El Grande Americano to team with Los Americanos against the Original Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos (the Creed Brothers).

Previously announced for the episode were a Women’s Tag Team Championship match, with Paige and Brie Bella defending against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, and the continuation of the Oba Femi open challenge.

The confirmed lineup for WWE Raw is as follows:

– Paige & Brie Bella vs Judgment Day – Women’s Tag Team Championship

– Oba Femi Open Challenge

– El Grande Americano & Los Americanos vs Original Grande Americano & Los Americanos Hermanos – Trios Tornado Tag-Team

– Roman Reigns to speak

Following Jacob’s post-attack comments – which appeared to present him as the heel in this rivalry – WWE will likely use Reigns’ appearance on Raw to solidify him as the undisputed babyface in this rivalry.

Whether Jacob Fatu should be the babyface when receiving such positive crowd reactions, in pursuit of his first WWE world title is another question.

Not only will this episode of Raw set up all of the red brand’s plans for the May 23 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, we will also see matches and segments build for Clash In Italy, which will take place the following week.
