Former ECW World Champion Matt Hardy has revealed on Twitter that his WWE contract expires in 11 days’ time.
Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal. I love @WWE, but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s "Alexandria" Safe-Zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST.
My previous tweet will NEVAH face DELETION.

Hardy has been off WWE TV since August 13, 2018 when he and Bray Wyatt lost their Raw Tag Team Championships to the B-Team on Raw.
There were initial reports that Hardy had retired from in-ring competition but he came out and said these rumors were false and he was just taking time off to recover from injuries.
His status has been in question for some time, with further previous speculation that he could be set to return in an authority figure role as Raw GM, but given the McMahons are now in charge of both shows, that seems unlikely.Hardy’s former partner Bray Wyatt has also not been seen since the same date, with WWE apparently not having anything for him storyline-wise.
This Hardy revelation could potentially explain the situation, as they could be waiting for Hardy’s decision in terms of how to return Wyatt. That is just speculation and could have nothing to do with it, though.
Either way, we’ll find out over the next few days whether Hardy decides to re-sign or not, so stay tuned for updates.
