AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has been announced for an upcoming match for a chance to win her 13th championship.
‘Ultimo’ Mone currently holds 12 championships, with her set for an upcoming AEW Women’s World Championship match with Kris Statlander at AEW Full Gear.
On top of her match with Statlander, Mercedes and Athena are also set to compete in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, facing off with Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron on tonight’s AEW Dynamite show.
However, Mercedes may end up going into both matches with 13 championships to her name, as she has now been announced for next weekend’s House of Glory Superclash show.
Mercedes has been announced for a APAC Women’s Wrestling Championship match against Nor ‘Phoenix’ Diana on the show taking place on November 15 in Long Island.
Mercedes broke Ultimo Dragon’s record of 11 championships back at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event, where she defeated Mina Shirakawa to win the Interim ROH Women’s Television Championship.
The ROH Television Champion Red Velvet has since made her return to television, calling out Mercedes for a Unification match.
