MJF Announces Forbidden Door Match For Adam Cole

MJF Announces Forbidden Door Match For Adam Cole AEW

MJF announced a big new match for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 while making his first ever AEW Rampage appearance.

With Adam Cole coming to the ring much to the delight of the Chicago crowd, he didn’t have long to address fans as he was promptly interrupted by MJF.

MJF thanked Cole for encouraging him on Dynamite to accept Hiroshi Tanahashi’s challenge for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door, and said that he’d also had a chat with Tony Khan and got a match for Cole as well.

Informing his new tag team partner Adam Cole (after being paired together in the Blind eliminator tournament on Dynamite on Wednesday) that he had a very filthy dance partner headed his way on Sunday.

MJF informed Adam Cole that he would be facing ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor at the upcoming pay-per-view event, with Lawlor not far behind.

Running out to start the attack early, Tom Lawlor and Royce Isaacs attacked Cole as MJF took his sweet time getting to the ring to ‘save’ his new tag partner.

Unfortunately for Cole, MJF certainly didn’t move very quickly down the ramp, pausing to make sure his scarf was safe and generally exhibiting slow sauntering en route to the save.

AEW’s big crossover pay-per-view with New Japan Pro Wrestling is set for Sunday, June 25, 2023 live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
