Money In The Bank 2018 – Live Coverage

Money In The Bank 2018 – Live Coverage

4.20am

Braun Strowman wins the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match

Why though? Literally the only person who didn’t need it.

He’s supposed to be unstoppable and therefore can get a title match anyway. The only way this can work is if Roman beats Lesnar and then Braun cashes in on Roman.

Anyway, with that, it’s goodnight from me.

Thanks for following our live coverage. Stay SWAFT.

3.59am

Kofi Kingston is the member of the New Day to enter the ladder match.

Again, not something I saw coming.

3.47am

Time for the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

We’ve got Miz for this one.

3.37am

ALEXA BLISS CASHES IN HER MONEY IN THE BANK CONTRACT TO WIN THE RAW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP!

Who saw that coming at the start of the show?

Not me. Wow.

3.33am

This match is already five times better than I thought it was going to be.

Ronda can really go in the ring. Fair play to both women.

3.24am

Now it’s time for one of the more intriguing matches of the evening.

Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax.

How will it play out? Surely Ronda can’t lose so soon into her WWE career.

Could we see an Alexa Bliss cash-in?

3.13am

AJ Styles bt. Shinsuke Nakamura to retain WWE Championship.

Now I was not expecting that at all.

What now for Nakamura? He’s failed at every single attempt to win the belt? Can he recover from this?

If he can, it’s going to take months and months of rebuilding.

3.02am

AJ was just thrown through a table and only just managed to get up at a count of nine.

This match still hasn’t reached top gear.

2.49am

This match has the potential to be very good, but with the referee counting at every opportunity it feels disjointed.

Still, if this show is going to go on for another 2 hours then who knows how long this could be!

2.42am

Time for Styles vs Nakamura in their (hopefully) final match.

Surely Nakamura will finally win? He needs this so much more than AJ.

2.35am

Poor Asuka. Going from unstoppable force to being pinned by Carmella after being distracted by James Ellsworth.

How the mighty have fallen.

2.31am

JAMES ELLSWORTH IS BACK.

Carmella beats Asuka after being distracted by Ellsworth.

What did I just watch?!

2.07am

Roman wins after spearing everyone. Next match now please.

Heartwarming advert about special Olympics – very nice stuff.

1.48am

And what better way to fill the toilet break after the women’s ladder match than a Jinder Mahal vs Roman Reigns match.

Sunil Singh is in a wheelchair so he’s getting beaten up…but could Samir return to cost Roman the match? Honestly, who cares.

1.37am

No way.

Alexa Bliss wins the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Yet another sign that WWE big cheese are huge fans of her. Definitely didn’t see that coming at all.

1.35am

Awkward moment #1.

Naomi attempts to unclip briefcase for about 15 seconds without success before Becky puts her out of her misery.

1.20am

Ember Moon and Sasha Banks fighting over a tiny ladder. You’re gonna need a bigger one than that girls!

1.14am

It’s time for our first Money in the Bank ladder matches of the evening.

Get ready for women struggling to climb ladders and failing to unclip briefcases.

We’ve got Natalya for this one, but my heart says Becky or Lana.

1.06am

Seth Rollins bt. Elias via pinfall

Minor heel turn? Seth pulls the tights to pin Elias after a very solid match.

Shame that Elias didn’t take home the gold, as he deserves something for all the work he’s put in, but oh well. More wonderful Seth matches to come, and who can complain about that.

1.01am

Really solid match so far, Elias’ best singles match on the main roster by some way.

Rollins favoring his knee, which could be the perfect excuse for him to lose…

00.44am

Time for Elias. Chicago proudly announcing they are scumbags.

That means the Intercontinental title match is up next, this could be a very good match given time.

We think Elias will take the belt, probably with some shenanigans.

00.40am

Despite some early offense on Zayn’s part, Bobby takes control and makes short work of the Canadian.

Hopefully both men can start afresh after this, because everything leading up to tonight has been awful.

We want the walking Armageddon back.

00.20am

The New Day do something completely bizarre with pancakes, and now it’s time for another match.

Does Sami Zayn have any chance against Bobby Lashley? We don’t think so.

Let us know what you think on Twitter.

00.24am

Daniel Bryan bt. Big Cass via submission.

Well we did not see that coming at all. Big Cass loses again, tapping out to the heel hook in seconds.

Is that the end of Cass’ time in the upper midcard? Can he recover from this? I guess we’ll just have to watch SmackDown Live on Tuesday to find out.

00.15am

Pretty even so far. Cass just about manages to get to the ropes to break the Yes! Lock.

Crowd making ti very clear who they want to win this one.

00.06am

Daniel Bryan vs Bis Cass to start the show, a good easy pop to get the crowd excited.

We’ve got Cass to win this one, although it really could go either way…

00.00am

Here we go…

11.52pm

Well that was as good as everyone thought it would be. Oh well, things can only get better from here on out!

Have your questions answered by me @hornsbloggle on Twitter.

11.47pm

Harper and Rowan completely dominating Gallows and Anderson, this looks to be going only one way.

11.38pm

Moments away from our first match.

We’ve got Bludgeon Brothers to win this one. This match has been thrown together and just no-one seems bothered about the feud.

11.26pm

Renee Young and David Otunga call Daniel Bryan “Brian”.

Keeping it kayfabe guys – I know his name is Brian Danielson but not on TV.

11.10pm

A reminder of our predictions for this evening:

  • Bludgeon Brothers
  • Jinder Mahal
  • Big Cass
  • Bobby Lashley
  • Elias
  • Asuka via DQ
  • Ronda Rousey
