More Details On Trish Stratus Returning To WWE Raw WWE

Trish Stratus finally made her return to WWE Raw last night (February 27) to help Lita and Becky Lynch win the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Stratus’ return had initially been planned for February 13 and then February 20, but plans changing led to her comeback being delayed twice until last night.

WRKD Wrestling, who’s been on top of the story, has followed up with an extra note after Stratus’ appearance.

According to WRKD, Stratus is back for what’s described as a “lengthy program”.

There are no further details on what exactly that program will be, but obviously it sounds like more of a long-term thing rather than just being around for a couple of weeks.

WRKD had tweeted a week ago – after Stratus’ return was scrapped from that show – that she would be coming in for “a storyline she’s wanted to do for quite some time”.

And a week before that – again after her initial planned return was axed – WRKD reported that Stratus “definitely won’t be in a role that most expect”.

The original plan was believed to be a six-woman tag match at Elimination Chamber with Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) vs Stratus, Lita and Lynch, but Kai’s injury delayed that.

Things are now interesting heading into WrestleMania, because the previous plan had been Kai and SKY defending the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, but obviously Kai and SKY aren’t the champions anymore so that might change.

We’ll keep you updated with any more details that emerge on WWE’s plans for Stratus’ return as well as the tag title direction.
