More Sources Say Sasha Banks Released By WWE

According to multiple sources backstage at tonight’s SmackDown, earlier reports that Sasha Banks has been released from WWE are apparently accurate.

According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, the word backstage at SmackDown tonight is that Sasha Banks has actually been released from her contract with WWE according to multiple sources.

Reports of Sasha’s release have circulated this week with multiple outlets noting that the release was minimally in the works with a report from Andrew Zarian noting that “her attorneys were working on getting this done.”

Reddit user u/Kerrmit125, who is a verified leaker on r/SquaredCircle, has also confirmed the news.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is also reporting that several talent at SmackDown are of the belief that Banks has been released, although he hasn’t had it officially confirmed by WWE.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider, however, noted in a PWInsider Q&A that Sasha is still listed on the WWE roster internally.

The word backstage from SmackDown tonight is that the report from @TheRajGiri is indeed accurate according to multiple sources.
