Mustafa Ali has reacted to Trick Williams earning a NXT North American Championship match at No Mercy after his match was scrapped due to his WWE departure.
On the September 26 edition of NXT, Williams won a fourway bout to become the #1 contender to the NXT North American Title.
Williams will challenge for Dominik Mysterio’s gold at the September 30 NXT No Mercy premium live event.
Mustafa Ali was originally slated to challenge for the North American Title at this show, however Ali was one of a number of talents released on September 21.
Ali has now taken to Twitter to comment on the new title match, writing:
good for trick, deserves it.
