An update has emerged on AEW star Jungle Boy’s status, reportedly revealing the nature of his injury.
At AEW Dynamite: Road Rager on June 15, Jurassic Express lost the AEW Tag Team Titles to the Young Bucks in a ladder match. Christian Cage attacked Jungle Boy following the bout, before the popular star was stretchered out of the arena.
It was recently confirmed that Jungle Boy is currently out of action with an injury. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio has now clarified that Jungle Boy is dealing with a shoulder injury.
There was no word on a timetable for Jungle Boy’s return.
A number of top AEW stars are currently out of action due to injury, including AEW World Champion CM Punk. Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi are set to face off for the interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door.
A number of changes have been made to the Forbidden Door line-up in the last week, with Tomohiro Ishii pulled from the All-Atlantic Title bout, and Hiromu Takahashi removed from an announced tag match.
