For the last few weeks, former WWE Champion Roman Reigns has been feuding with Erick Rowan on Smackdown. The rivalry started with Rowan revealed that he was behind Roman Reigns’ backstage attacks.
The pair clashed at Clash of Champions and later in a tag team match at Hell In A Cell. However, with Erick Rowan being moved to Raw, it appears as if their storyline has reached its conclusion.
Last week on Friday Night Smackdown, Reigns was attacked by King Corbin during his Intercontinental Championship match with Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura and Corbin then teamed together in a losing effort against Roman and Daniel Bryan later on in the show.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the current plan is for Reigns and Corbin to continue their feud from last week on WWE TV in the coming weeks.
“Roman Reigns is going to work a program with Baron Corbin.”
With ratings for Smackdown falling drastically in the last few weeks, you would think that WWE would be looking to booking a slightly more engaging feud than Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin.
However, it has been speculated that the former WWE Champion was actually injured last night during a WWE Live Event in Australia.
Perhaps this means that the feud between Reigns and Corbin could be postponed while Reigns recovers.
