Another Top Free Agent Pursued By WWE Signs With A Different Promotion? WWE

A new report has revealed that a top free agent pursued by WWE has signed with another promotion.

WWE has been the subject of widespread speculation in regards to free agency following a reported “hiring freeze” has led to several top free agents the company was pursuing decided to go elsewhere.

This has led to Jay White and Komander signing with All Elite Wrestling in recent weeks. However, another top name has showed up for another promotion.

At IMPACT Rebellion, former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis showed up and kickstarted a feud with new IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin. Following this appearance, it was reported that the former Magnus was working without a contract and on more of a verbal agreement.

According to Inside The Ropes, Aldis has indeed “100% signed” a contract with IMPACT Wrestling. The length of the contract is unknown at this time, but he has signed a deal.

Nick Aldis previously worked with IMPACT Wrestling as Magnus from 2008 to 2015 before eventually returning briefly two years later. He is a former TNA Heavyweight Champion and two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion.

Aldis went on to become a staple with the National Wrestling Alliance, holding the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 1,043 days across two reigns.

In January 2023, Aldis officially left NWA after requesting his release citing issues with the direction of the company following a public falling out.
