An AEW star is set for the NJPW All Star Junior Festival USA event next month.
In March 2023, Hiromu Takahashi produced the first ever All Star Junior Festival featuring junior heavyweight stars from across multiple Japanese promotions.
Shortly thereafter, Takahashi and Rocky Romero announced that there would be a second festival in the United States on Saturday, August 19 in Philadelphia, Pennyslvania.
On July 13, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Hiromu Takahashi, Rocky Romero and AEW star Nick Wayne will be part of NJPW All Star Junior Festival USA.
Wayne has never performed under the NJPW banner, but recently made his AEW debut in a loss to Swerve Strickland on the July 12 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Takahashi is the reigning IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, while Romero is active in multiple promotions, including NJPW, ROH and CMLL.
The event will take place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, August 19 and will be available on FITE TV.
It's quite the lineup already for All Star Junior Festival USA 2023, and it's only going to grow from here!
