The winner of the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 33 tournament has now been crowned, with a star receiving redemption following last year’s final.

Following block action and semifinal matches, the 2026 Best of the Super Juniors tournament finals saw Kosei Fujita face off against YOH, in a rematch from last year’s final bout.

While Fujita was able to defeat YOH to win the tournament in 2025, it would be YOH who would walk out victorious on June 7, becoming the 2026 champion.

The match saw the duo pay tribute to a number of former CHAOS stable members, including AEW’s Kazuchika Okada, with YOH attempting to hit his Rainmaker clothesline, before Fujita dropped him with one of his own.

YOH ultimately picked up the victory after 28 minutes of action to become the 2026 Best of the Super Juniors winner, and take his singles record against Fujita to 1-1.

You can watch last year’s final match below:

YOH had finished B-block action with 12 points, with wins over El Desperado, Taiji Ishimori, Jakob Austin Young, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Daisuke Sasaki, and losses to Robbie Eagles, KUSHIDA and HYO.

While Robbie Eagles, El Desperado, Taiji Ishimori and SHO also finished on 12 points, wins over three of these names meant YOH advanced in second place as per the tiebreaker system, with Eagles advancing as the block leader.

The semifinals saw YOH defeat A-block leader Master Wato, with A-block runner-up Kosei Fujita defeating Robbie Eagles to advance to the finals.

While YOH’s next focus will be his shot at DOUKI’s IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, it would be interesting and welcomed by many fans to see YOH and Fujita eventually face off in singles action again, with both having one major win over the other.
