WWE/NJPW
Jeremy Marcus has provided a big update on his future, revealing that he has joined the WWE NXT referee team.
Marcus made an appearance at the NXT house show in Sanford, Florida on Saturday (March 25). He has now taken to Instagram to reveal that he has officially signed with WWE.
Sharing a photo of himself with the brands other officials, Marcus captioned the post:
I’m excited to join the NXT officiating crew! Very honored to be a part of this hard working team. Catch NXT every Tuesday at 8/7c on USA Network! #NXT #NXTlive #wearenxt #wwe
Marcus was notably a referee for NJPW, and would mostly officiate matches for the promotion’s STRONG US brand.
He often worked in Japan, more recently officiating matches during the 2022 G1 Climax tour, and at January’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 and New Year Dash events.
He was the official for the main event at the February 18 Battle in the Valley event, making the three-count for Kazuchika Okada to retain his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship over Hiroshi Tanahashi.
