WWE Star Tells Shawn Michaels ‘We Need To Talk’ As Show Goes Off Air WWE

Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (August 29) ended on a cliffhanger as a top NXT Champion barged into Shawn Michaels’ office, insisting they talk.

There were several backstage segments across the night featuring NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes as he chatted with others and contemplated his future before taking action with the boss.

In a locker room segment, Carmelo Hayes turned to Trick Williams for reassurance about being able to beat Ilja Dragunov.

Asking Williams if he thought Hayes could beat Dragunov, Williams’ answer wasn’t assured and fast enough, Carmelo was incensed.

After again asking and hearing only the portion where Trick said, “I don’t know…” he missed the rest of Williams’ thought, “… I know so.”

The segment was a little bit random in that earlier in the show Carmelo Hayes was seen hanging out in a very good mood with Tony D’Angelo, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and then eventually, the Street Profits who joined them for a chat.

Later in the show, a video from Wes Lee (from Twitter) was shown, where he spoke about how he wasn’t done with Melo just yet which led to the show’s eventual cliffhanger ending.

With the NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes being shown watching the Wes Lee video on his phone backstage, he approaches a door with a ‘Shawn Michaels’ sign on it, considers knocking, but instead just barges in.

Ending the show on Melo saying, “Hey, we need to talk,” before the fade to black, we’ll have to stay tuned to see what happens with Melo next and who gets the next shot at the NXT Championship.

It wasn’t just the Street Profits who popped up on NXT from the main roster tonight however, you can click here to find out who else made an appearance at the Performance Center.
