NXT Star Set For WWE Main Roster TV Debut WWE

WWE’s strategy of giving NXT talents run-outs on Main Event is continuing this week, with another main roster TV debut in store.

That main roster TV debut is for former NXT Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh.

Technically, McDonagh worked two non-televised main roster UK tour house shows under the name Jordan Devlin way back in 2017, as well as various inter-brand events like Worlds Collide, but this would be his full televised main roster debut.

McDonagh has been used prominently on NXT TV since he officially moved to the brand from NXT UK in July, and has been in the NXT Championship picture pretty much the whole time.

The other NXT talent in action on Main Event this time around is Kiana James, who WWE management clearly seem to have taken an interest in as this is now her third appearance on Main Event in four weeks.

No spoilers on results – but Kiana James faced Asuka, and McDonagh faced Cedric Alexander.

Main Event is taped right before Raw every Monday, but airs on Thursdays on Hulu. Other NXT talents who have featured on Main Event recently include Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Carmelo Hayes, Cameron Grimes, Von Wagner, Duke Hudson, Xyon Quinn and Wendy Choo.
