The overnight viewership for last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is in, and it suggests that we are set to see an overall decrease in viewership for the post-Clash of Champions show compared to last week.
According to ShowBuzz Daily, the overnight viewership figure for last night’s show is at 2.043million, which is down from the 2.11million viewers that the show brought in last week. The show drew a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
It is somewhat surprising to see the viewership for SmackDown somewhat down compared to last week, especially considering that the majority of the positive from last weekend’s Clash of Champions show came from the blue brand.
However, a potential reason for the decrease in viewerships could be because the show, which featured a cracking main event between Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn, went head-to-head with the NBA finals.
Below is the hour-by-hour breakdown for last night’s show. Despite being down in the viewership compared with last week, it will still be the most watched wrestling show of the week:
- Hour One average: 2.105million
- Hour Two average: 1.980million
Stay tuned for the official viewership for the show early next week.
