A recently planned WWE match announcement was reportedly scrapped at the last minute due to “time constraints” during the show.
While focus today has been on The Rock and Roman Reigns’ segment on SmackDown reportedly running over its allotted time, it turns out that wasn’t the only case of timing becoming an issue for this week’s WWE programming.
According to Fightful Select, this week’s edition of NXT (February 27) also ran into issues with time, leading to a planned segment being scrapped from the show entirely.
The segment in question was set to feature Fallon Henley and Blair Davenport, and was reportedly being done in order to set up a match at next week’s NXT Roadblock (March 5).
However, due to “time constraints” this did not happen.
It’s possible – even likely – that WWE will still book Henley vs Davenport for Roadblock if that’s what was originally planned, but nothing has been done as of yet to lead up to it.
We’ll provide further updates if/when they become available.
