The Joker entrant for the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament has potentially been revealed.
On this week’s edition of Dynamite, Britt Baker will face off against the mystery opponent in the tournament quarterfinals.
Fueling speculation surrounding an AEW return, Japanese star Maki Itoh has noted that her next match will be in the US.
Itoh first wrestled for the company in February 2021 as part of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator tournament. The star does has history with Baker, teaming with the former AEW Women’s Champion to defeat Riho & Thunder Rosa during last year’s Revolution pay-per-view.
Itoh last wrestled for AEW during a set of Dark tapings in March 2021.
Hikar Shida was recently pulled from the tournament due to ‘injury’ and replaced with Kris Statlander. After appearing shocked at the injury announcement on Rampage, Shida has now provided clarification on the situation.
