Potential Spoiler On Cody Rhodes Feud After WWE Backlash 2023

A potential spoiler has emerged on Cody Rhodes’ feud with Brock Lesnar following their WWE Backlash 2023 main event.

The American Nightmare and The Beast clashed in the final match of the May 6 premium live event.

Rhodes walked away with the victory, after pinning Lesnar while trapped in the kimura lock submission hold.

With this somewhat controversial ending, it has been speculated that Lesnar will soon target Rhodes, wanting revenge.

Per WRKD Wrestling, the Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar rivalry is ‘far from over’.

Teasing that there will be some sort of altercation between the duo on Monday’s (May 8) edition of Raw, WRKD Wrestling tweeted:

While Cody is currently in the #WWERaw World Heavyweight Championship tournament, the Beast Incarnate will quickly make his intentions known..

Rhodes was notably one of the 12 names announced for the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, set to kick off on Monday’s show.

The tournament will see two three-way bouts take place on Raw, with the winners facing off in the main event of the show, then the same procedure happening on an upcoming episode of SmackDown.

The Raw and SmackDown winners will face off in singles action at the May 27 Night of Champions premium live event to crown the inaugural titleholder.

Following WRKD Wrestling’s report, it has been speculated that Lesnar will attack Rhodes during one of the tournament bouts, costing him his match.
