Here’s who produced the Cody Rhodes match on this week’s (February 13) edition of Monday Night Raw.
During the episode, WWE cut away from Baron Corbin’s backstage interview to show that Sami Zayn had stormed the ring and demanded that Cody Rhodes meet with him.
The Royal Rumble winner then cut an impactful promo, telling Sami Zayn to finish his story and defeat Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber.
When Corbin got another attempt at his interview, the Raw star insulted Rhodes and his family, leading to a match between Corbin and Rhodes.
The bout didn’t last too long, with Cody Rhodes pinning Baron Corbin after a crossroads just over two minutes after the opening bell.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), this bout was produced by Adam Pearce.
Corbin is currently on a losing streak, and hasn’t won a match since besting Akira Tozawa on the November 14 edition of Raw.
His former manager JBL cut ties with him on last week’s show, noting that you ‘can’t polish a turd’.
Cody Rhodes is currently preparing to headline WrestleMania 39. At the April event, he will challenge for the WWE Undisputed Universal Title.
Monday’s show was the go-home edition of Raw for Saturday’s February 18 Elimination Chamber premium live event.
Details on what happened with Seth Rollins, Austin Theory and Becky Lynch after the cameras stopped rolling can be found, at this link.
