A worry that Randy Orton had ahead of his WWE return at Survivor Series in Chicago tonight has been revealed.
Randy Orton is set to make his WWE return tonight after 18 months out of action with an injury.
Orton was revealed as the final member of Cody Rhodes’ Survivor Series WarGames team to take on the Judgment Day on the show.
Orton has not wrestled since May 2022, when he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to the Usos in a title unification match on SmackDown.
Speaking on the Kurt Angle Show podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle spoke about a conversation he had with Orton during his absence, and a worry Orton had ahead of his return.
He said:
“I was communicating with him for quite some time when he was out with the injury. He was telling me, ‘Hey, man, it’s not looking good. I don’t know how my back is going to heal if my back’s going to heal.’ So he was a little worried about it for a while and eventually it started to heal up and now I think he’s okay, but it was pretty serious for some time.”
