Here’s why Judgment Day decided to kick Finn Balor out of the group on this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw.
Raw saw Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and JD McDonagh all attack Finn Balor to excommunicate him from the faction that he had been a member of since 2022.
Speaking on The Collection, Dominik Mysterio explained:
“It has been a good run for my old pal Finn Balor. It had to be done.
“There were a lot of differences going on, we weren’t being a cohesive unit, and at the end of the day, we played the Finn Balor playbook. That’s what happened. He should have seen it coming.
“But I’m just happy that, at the end of the day, it was my boy JD McDonagh that pulled the trigger.
“Because I know JD and Finn have their history. But I’m so happy for JD for finally being able to leave Finn’s shadow.”

Is Dominik Mysterio The New Leader Of Judgment Day?
When he was introduced as the new leader of Judgment Day after Finn Balor‘s exit, Mysterio replied:
“I don’t know about the leader, but that’s what they say, allegedly.”
Judgment Day has generally operated without a singular identified leader since original founder Edge left the group, with the likes of Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan all taking what could be referred to as leadership roles at different stages.
Discussing how Judgment Day adjusted after Edge’s departure from the group, Mysterio said:
“I fought it for a long time. I wasn’t… it just felt weird and hokey at the very beginning of it.
“But something happened where all four of us (Mysterio, Ripley, Priest and Balor) clicked, and I think that’s what made it work.
“Because we all clicked outside of the ring and we were all riding together, so it all kinda transitioned to inside of the ring. And then it just… it worked, man.
“There’s not one time in the Judgment Day that we haven’t had a championship or all of us covered in gold, or constantly kicking people out to bring people in, it’s just crazy. It’s insane.”

What Next For Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio & Finn Balor
After Judgment Day banished Finn Balor from the faction on WWE Raw, it appears a match between him and Dominik Mysterio is imminent.
Balor and Mysterio had been having issues dating back all the way to last year’s WrestleMania 41 event, where Mysterio pinned Balor in the Intercontinental Championship four-way match that also featured Bron Breakker and Penta.
It appears a singles match between Mysterio and Balor could be taking place at WrestleMania 42 this coming April.
Meanwhile, Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan will be challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship at the event.
